From the insurance appraisal: "A masterful example of superior Italian craftsmanship. This beautiful clock is inlaid and made with fine brass boulle. The traditional Louis XIV French palace design makes this a clock a showpiece. The precision movement is authentic German mechanical and key wound. The age is circa 1990 and the condition is excellent. The fine ornament designs are hand carved and inlaid by skilled artisans. The piece has wonderful brass ormolu mounted accents that are plated with 24K gold. It measures approximately 33 cm wide x 15 cm deep x 58 cm high."
